J.M. WESTON & SOEUR
Soeur reinterprets the iconic 180 loafer by J.M. Weston, offered in two subtle colour options.
Created in 1946, the loafer is an icon inseparable from the history of J.M. Weston. Essential and timeless, recognisable
by its Goodyear welt — a hallmark of its longevity — and its "seagull"-shaped cut strap, its manufacture requires
no fewer than 180 pairs of hands at the Limoges manufactory.
With the collaboration of Soeur, it is today given a new interpretation, subtle and natural.

LOAFER 180 J.M. WESTON & SOEUR
LARCH AND BLACK
On a single box calf leather last, two "seagull" pieces are layered, with subtly varied colour harmonies:
black and umber or larch and black.
Slightly contrasting stitching, hand stitches worked in waxed thread, piping details, overlapping cuts…
Neither quite the same, nor quite another, the 180 loafer reinterpreted by Soeur has been given a new pattern at the manufactory.
The 180 J.M. Weston & Soeur loafers are sold in J.M. Weston boutiques (Champs-Élysées, Madeleine, Saint-Honoré, le Marais, Brussels, Tokyo Aoyama, Tokyo Isetan Ladies) and Soeur (Filles du Calvaire, Guichard, Bonaparte, Brussels, Madrid),
as well as on both brands' e-shops.
Olivier Saillard, artistic director, image and culture at J.M. Weston:
« I have always admired in Soeur this envie for a very democratic fashion, far from the idea of casting women in an aggressively ultra-feminine role. I love the idea of a brand that expresses itself with a certain restraint and elegance, very close to J.M. Weston. The designers at Soeur wanted to reinterpret the loafer — the most emblematic of "emblematic" pieces — which they worked as a repetition, on the shoe itself. I love this idea: to my mind, at Weston, the right foot is always the frère or the sister of the left foot, something of a companion, something of a partner… With Soeur, there is thus a sisterhood in the name, in the foot, in the shoe… Like something self-evident. »
Domitille Brion, founder and artistic director of Soeur:
« For me, J.M. Weston is above all irreproachable quality, craftsmanship, authenticity… These are the shoes I have seen worn by entire generations of my family… I have always wanted to wear them, in a completely natural way — it is part of my inspirations. The way I work with clothing is close to theirs, with artisans at the heart of their craft. For all these reasons, this collaboration is both a pleasure and an honour. We chose the 180 loafer, which I adore, precisely because it is iconic, simple, and yet perfect. We did not want to alter its essence: the challenge was to do something different while still finding ourselves in the object. It was simply a matter of bringing our own touch — hence this subtle blend. »

TWO FEET WITH SHOES THAT ARE SISTERS
RIGHT AND LEFT, OR BROTHERS — WHO COULD DOUBT IT
BOUND TO MY HEART FOR LIFE »
